WHAT TO BRING TO DO MY TAXES

PLEASE READ:

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS BELLOW (WHEN/IF APPLICABLE) BEFORE COMING FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT OR SENDING BY E-MAIL. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE YOU TO HAVE TO AMEND YOUR TAXES. That not only will be costly (usually costs double of the regular cost you paid to prepare your taxes) but also may cost you IRS late filing penalties, increase your liability (you may owe money) and cause disarray in paperwork filled with initial tax return. It is much faster and cheaper to wait for all your documentation from your work places.

IF YOU ARE MISSING A FORM FOR A PLACE YOU WORK ONLY A FEW DAYS, BE AWARE THAT *YES*, IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE. THE ABOVE WILL APPLY.

The IRS needs to know exactly who's filing and who is covered in your tax return. If this is the first time we are doing your taxes, you will need Social Security numbers and dates of birth for you, your spouse, and your dependents. The same applies if you divorced, remarried, have a newborn or will add a dependent.
